Rams Send Contingent to UConn Northeast Challenge

KINGSTON, R.I. - Megan Wood highlighted action for the Rhode Island women's track & field team at UConn's Northeast Challenge on Friday, winning the discus. 

One of eight student-athletes in action for the Rams, Wood recorded a mark of 159' to establish herself as the program's third-best individual all time. 

Highlights
  • Katie Welsh cleared 11' 9 3/4" in the pole vault for a second-place finish.
  • Charlotte Moscovici surpassed the same mark in more attempts to finish third.
  • Madelynn Gall recorded a mark of 143' 10" in the discus for seventh overall. 
  • Olivia Priest finished eighth in the pole vault (11' 5").
  • Allison Vigue was ninth in the pole vault (11' 1/4"). 
Up Next
Rhody will send its squad to the Holy Cross Invitational on Saturday, April 19. Competition in Worcester, Mass. is scheduled for a 10 a.m. start.
