KINGSTON, R.I. - The Rhode Island women's track & field team finished the 2025 Atlantic 10 Outdoor Track & Field Championship in a tie for fifth place with 68 points.
The Rams shared their spot with Dayton. UMass won the meet with 128 points and was joined in the top three by George Mason (115 points) and VCU (103 points).
Rhody's final day of competition was highlighted by a pair of individual champions in
Lily Saul and
Megan Wood. Saul won the 800M by over two full seconds, crossing the line in 2:06.71 for the first outdoor title of her career.
Megan Wood had a monstrous personal-best throw in the discus, recording a mark of 164' 6" to win the event. Second-place Mia Pierce from Duquesne had a 151' 11" toss. She was named the Atlantic 10's Field Performer of the Meet for her efforts.
Highlights
- Sydney Federico earned a bronze medal in the 400m, crossing the finish line in 55.20 seconds. She beat out fourth place by less than half a second.
- The 4x400 Relay quartet of Abigail Colella, Saul, Nyah Santana and Federico earned a bronze medal, running a season-best 3:44.56.
- Wood also medaled in the shotput, finishing third with a 46' 9 1/2" toss. Alyssa Yankee was eighth with a mark of 41' 11 1/2".
- Rhode Island's 4x100m Relay entry of N. Santana, Federico, Colella and Odette van Wyk finished fifth with a time of 46.75 seconds.
- Mae Gall was behind Wood in the discus, placing fifth (140' 7").
- Macy Daigle finished fifth in the high jump, clearing 5' 5".
- Madeline Till, Carollin Mellin, Kelsey Wolff and Zoe Catrambone were sixth in the 4x800m Relay (9:04.09).
- Lily MacDonald came in eighth in the triple jump (38' 11").
