KINGSTON, R.I. -- Rhode Island men's cross country finished fourth at the Friar Invitational Friday afternoon. The 6k course was the first competition of 2025 and senior Nick Martin paced the team with a 18:23.0 second-place finish.

• Nick Martin led the Rams with his second-place finish of 18:23.0.
• Matt Lucas was ninth in 18:43.7.
• Garrett Hartline finished 14th in 18:51.9.
• Jason Padula made his cross country debut and finished 19:23.1 ahead of freshman Ryan Kaiser (19:25.1).
• Antonio Capalbo finished 40th in 19:48.
