KINGSTON, R.I. - Rhode Island women's track and field had two athletes recognized with Atlantic 10 weekly honors, the conference announced Tuesday.
Lily Saul earned Track Performer of the Week while
Reagan Garibaldi was named A-10 Indoor Rookie of the Week, following their performances at the Scarlet and White Invitational at Boston University on Saturday.
Saul was second in the 800m while breaking her own school record with a time of 2:04.94. That time leads the Atlantic 10 and is 11th best in NCAA Division I.Â
Garibaldi earned her first Rookie of the Week nod of the season. She finished seventh in the 400m dash with a time of 56.10. That time ranks first in the A-10 and is the ninth-best individual time in program history.Â
The Rams continue the indoor season on Friday, Jan. 30 at the John Thomas Terrier Classic Invitational. The event is hosted by Boston University and will begin at 10 a.m.
