BOSTON, Mass. — Rhode Island men's track and field sent three competitors to the BU John Thomas Terrier Classic Saturday. Led by Nick Martin's record-breaking time in the 3000m, the Rams also competed in the mile run.

Highlights from the Track
- Nick Martin finished the 3000m in a school-record time of 7:57.63 to become the first individual at Rhody to run a sub-eight minute race in the event.
- In the mile, Maddox Jordan finished 25th with a time of 4:05.32, and Antonio Capalbo was 72nd in 4:12.06.

The Rams are back in action next weekend at the IC4A Indoor Championship starting on Saturday, Feb. 7. The championship will be held at the BU Track & Tennis Center in Boston, Mass.
