New Haven, Conn. – Rhode Island fell in their three matches Saturday to end their run at the ITR New England Regional Tournament at Yale University.
After a strong showing Friday, both doubles teams suffered defeat in the round of 32.
Iben Mol and
Kajsa Helgesen kept it close but ultimately fell in their match to Stephanie Yakoff and Kavya Karra of Harvard, 8-6.
Anastasia Pettersson and
Grace Darcy lost the final doubles match of the day, 8-4, to Peyton Capuano and Michela Moore of Dartmouth College.
Mol lost a tough singles match against Jacqueline Soloveychik of Boston College earlier in the day, 6-1, 6-4, to eliminate her from the singles bracket of the Championships.
The Rams look to reset as they head to Providence, R.I. next weekend for the Brown Classic. Matches will take place on Saturday, Oct. 17 and Sunday, Oct. 18.
