RHODE ISLAND VS. FORDHAM - SERIES NOTES
- Rhody and Fordham will meet for the 78th time on Saturday, with URI leading the all-time series 43-34.
- The teams have split four games over the last two seasons, with Fordham winning the most recent meeting 88-71 at the 2025 Atlantic 10 Championship.
- Rhode Island is 22-12 when hosting in the series.
- Fordham comes into the game fresh off a win at Saint Joseph's on Tuesday night.
- It was just the second time Fordham has won at Saint Joseph's since Fordham joined the Atlantic 10 in 1995.
- Fordham rallied from a 15-point deficit to win the game, 68-64.
- Fordham has the stingiest defense in the A-10, allowing 65.1 points per game. Rhode Island is fourth at 68.4.
- DeJour Reaves from Fordham leads the league in scoring at 17.1 points per game.
- Fordham forward Rikus Schulte is second in the conference with 9.2 rebounds per game.
- Guard Christian Henry runs the Fordham offense and is second in the A-10 with 5.2 assists per game.
- This is the first of two games between Rhode Island and Fordham this season. Rhody visits the Bronx in the regular season finale on March 7.
JOHNSON TAKING CARE OF THE BALL
- Over his last two games, point guard RJ Johnson has 14 assists with just one turnover in nearly 75 minutes of playing time.
- He has seven assists in each of the last two games.
- Johnson is up to 74 assists and just 29 turnovers on the season.
- He is second in the Atlantic 10 with a 2.6 assist-to-turnover ratio.
- The Rams are 10-6 when Johnson plays at least 20 minutes, and 4-4 when he sees 19 minutes or less.
- For the season, he is 33-for-35 at the free throw line. His .943 free throw percentage is well ahead of Jimmy Baron's single-season program record .968 set in the 2007-08 season.
- He had the game-winning shot with 2.3 seconds to go in a 69-68 win at Richmond on Jan. 21.
- Before coming to URI, Johnson spent two seasons at Holy Cross and then three with Charleston Southern.

- Every fan who brings a non-perishable food item to either this Saturday's game against Richmond or next Saturday's game against Fordham will receive a voucher for two tickets to the Wednesday, March 4 home game against Duquesne.
- Fans are encouraged to support the local community on behalf of the Rhode Island Community Food Bank.
- Through donations, federal commodities and purchases, the Food Bank distributes healthy, culturally relevant food to pantries, meal sites, senior programs, and school programs that serve Rhode Islanders in need.
- The program supports 147 member agencies statewide, providing food assistance to nearly 85,000 Rhode Islanders each month.Â
HINTON RETURNS TO THE COURT
- After missing three games with a leg injury, guard Jonah Hinton returned at George Washington on Tuesday, playing 21 minutes.
- Coming off the bench for the first time this season, Hinton had seven points, three rebounds and three assists.
- He is a key piece to the team, ranking second on the Rams with 13.7 points per game while leading the team in 3-pointers (58).Â
- Hinton also is second in free throw percentage (.813, 52-of-64) and third in assists (44).
