RHODE ISLAND VS. STONEHILL - SERIES NOTES

• Rhody is back on the road to face Stonehill Wednesday.
• It's the second match of a four-game road stretch for the Rams.
• Last time out, URI beat Rider 14-10 for the first win of the season.
• It's the second all-time meeting between Stonehill and Rhode Island.
• The Skyhawks opened 2026 with a tough loss against Boston University (21-14) before falling to Holy Cross (18-8) last time out.

LAST TIME VS. THE SKYHAWKS...

• Rhode Island dominated from start to finish as it defeated Stonehill 18-5 in its non-conference finale a season ago (3/5/25).
• The Rams scored three times in the first six minutes as Danielle McHugh, Caralie Basuel and Calli Dunn all found the back of the net just minutes into the match. 
• The 18 goals matched the season high for URI a year ago.
• Dunn scored a career-high five goals. She was highly efficient, scoring five times on six shots.

FIRST W IN THE BOOKS

• Rhode Island redshirt sophomore Caralie Basuel scored seven times to lead Rhode Island to a 14-10 victory at Rider Saturday evening as the Rams picked up their first win of the season.
• Rhody (1-2) enjoyed an early offensive outburst, scoring six times in the first quarter to build a four-goal lead by the end of the period. 
• Ashlyn Carpenter, MJ Timpanaro, Calli Dunn and Basuel all found the back of the net in the opening quarter.
• Basuel's seven goals tied the program record for a single game. It is the third time Basuel has scored seven goals in one match.
• She now has a team-high 14 goals.
