KINGSTON, R.I. - Lily Saul was named Atlantic 10 Co-Track Performer of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday afternoon. Saul shares the honor with Loyola Chicago's Roisin Treacy.
Saul placed fourth among collegiate runners and 22nd overall in the mile with an A-10-leading time of 4:40.78 on Friday, Jan. 30, at the John Thomas Terrier Classic at Boston University. Her performance marked the second-fastest mile in program history and the fourth-best time all-time at Rhode Island.
It is the second consecutive week Saul has earned Performer of the Week honors. Last week, she finished second in the 800 meters while breaking her own school record with a time of 2:04.94 at the Scarlet and White Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 24, at Boston University.
Rhode Island competes in two meets this weekend, beginning Friday, Feb. 6, at the Riverhawk Invitational at The Track at New Balance, followed by the ECAC Championships on Saturday, Feb. 7, at the Boston University Track & Tennis Center.
