Over Rhode Island's first 12 games of the season, the Rams notched 86 hits, scored 41 runs, and batted .223.
In its last two games against non-conference competition, including wins over Brown and New Haven, Rhode Island's offensive numbers have surged. The Rams have a team batting average of .405 with 30 hits and 29 runs scored over those two games.
Rhode Island had 19 hits at Brown on March 7 and 11 hits against New Haven on March 10. Prior to that, Rhode Island had just one game across the team's first 12 games with double-digit hits. That came on Feb. 27 when the Rams had 19 hits against Kent State in 13 innings.
