URI (7-6) took the doubles point behind the play of its top two teams.
Nikki Fernando and
Kajsa Helgesen recorded a clean 6-0 win at No. 1 doubles. After San Jose State (7-5) took the third doubles match,

From there, San Jose State took over. The Spartans won at No. 3, No. 4 and No. 1 singles to take a commanding 3-1 lead.
The three remaining matches were all closely contested. After dropping the first set at No. 5 singles 6-1, Rhody's
