KINGSTON, R.I. - Rhode Island will play three games at George Washington for its final Atlantic 10 road series. The teams play a doubleheader Saturday and a single game on Sunday, with play beginning at 12 p.m. on both days. All three games this weekend are scheduled to stream on ESPN+.

RHODE ISLAND VS. GEORGE WASHINGTON - SERIES NOTES 

• George Washington leads the all-time series, 30-16.
• Rhode Island holds a slight 5-4 edge over the last three seasons
• This is second straight year Rhody has traveled to George Washington. Last season, the Revolutionaries won the first two games of the series by scores of 1-0 and 7-0. URI won the finale 3-0 behind a three-hit shutout by Avery Vale-Cruz.
• It was the first complete-game shutout of her career for Vale-Cruz, who had five strikeouts in the outing.
• George Washington leads the Atlantic 10 with 28 home runs.
• Nearly half of those are off the bat of Ashley Corpuz, who leads the league with 13 home runs.
• Sydney Hogue (5) and CeCe Smith (4) have combined for nine more homers. 
• Smith is a strong two-way player for GW, as she is third in the A-10 with a 2.50 earned-run average and fourth in innings pitched with 106.1.

SERIES IS CRUCIAL FOR BOTH TEAMS

• With six games remaining in Atlantic 10 play, Rhode Island is 4.0 games out of the postseason race, while George Washington is one game out.
• The top six teams in the final standings qualify for the Atlantic 10 Championship, which is being held in Saint Louis this year.
• Fordham and George Mason are tied at 9-9 for fifth place and would currently hold the final two playoff spots.
• George Mason hosts first-place Loyola Chicago for three games this weekend, while Fordham hosts second-place Saint Joseph's for three games.
• After visiting GW this weekend, Rhode Island hosts George Mason in the final weekend of the series.
• Rhode Island needs two more conference wins to match its total from 2025.
