KINGSTON, R.I. -- Rhode Island lacrosse goalie Casey Phelps earned a spot on the Atlantic 10 All-Academic team, the league announced Wednesday. It's the second time in as many seasons for Phelps. She was one of 12 players among the conference named to the All-Academic Team.

Phelps surpassed 300 career saves in the cage for the Rams this season. She was named A-10 Defensive Player of the Week twice, and recorded a season-high 16 saves at Merrimack earlier this year. She posted a 6-9 record during her senior season with the Rams. 

Rhody finished 3-6 in conference action and 6-10 overall after their second NCAA Division I season.
