KINGSTON, R.I. - Rhode Island Football held steady in both national polls remaining No. 8 in the Stats Perform FCS Top 25 and No. 13 in the AFCA FCS Coaches Poll, it was announced Monday morning.

The Rams (2-1) received 970 points in the Stats Perform poll, finishing 40 points behind No. 7 Lehigh, which received 1,010 points. In the AFCA poll, Rhode Island earned 331 points. The Rams were 39 points shy of No. 12 South Dakota.

Rhode Island was the only CAA Football program ranked in either national poll this week. Campbell, Elon, and UAlbany received votes in the Stats Perform poll, while Campbell, Elon, UAlbany, and Monmouth received votes in the AFCA poll.

The Rams return to action Saturday, Sept. 19 at Stony Brook. The game will begin at 2:30 p.m.
