Baseball Edged By Sacred Heart, 4-3

SARASOTA, Fla. - The University of Rhode Island baseball team lost its second one-run game of the season Saturday with a 4-3 setback to Sacred Heart.

The Rams (0-5) have had three of their losses come by two runs or less, including the last two games.

Rhode Island sophomore Ryan Cunningham (Centreville, Va.) had two hits and scored one run. Sophomore Scott Brown (Portland, Maine) had two hits and two RBIs and junior Josh Nestor (Nashua, N.H.) also had two hits and one RBI for the Rams.

Sophomore Dave Savard (Nashua, N.H.) and junior Wayne Russo (Warwick, R.I.) each had one hit and one run for the Rams. Senior Matt Sullivan (Nashua, N.H.) also had one hit.

The Rams will continue their Florida road trip when they play a doubleheader against Kentucky on Sunday beginning at 4:00 p.m.
