How It Happened:
Fordham's Casper Gimand and Rhode Island's Joey Haught each scored on a first-half penalty kick before Fordham's Taylor Gulbins headed in a long punt from goalkeeper Ryan Meara to give the home team a 2-1 victory over URI on Sunday afternoon in the Bronx.

- With the loss, Rhode Island drops to 4-8-1 on the season and 1-2-1 in Atlantic 10 play. Fordham, meanwhile, improves to 7-5-2 (3-1-0 Atlantic 10).
- Rhode Island held a 17-15 advantage in total shots and a 9-4 edge in shots on goal.
- Each team recorded four corner kicks. Seven of the game's eight corners came in the first half.
- There were four offsides calls in the game - all against Fordham.
- Rhody committed six fouls to Fordham's 15.

Additional Notes:
- The loss drops Rhode Island to 13-3-2 in the all-time series against Fordham.
- URI is now 2-for-2 in penalty kick attempts. It marks the first time since 2005 that the Rams net multiple PK's in a single season.
- With two penalty kick goals so far this year, Haught becomes the first Ram to score multiple PK's since Dawid Badecki did so in 2005.
- Rhode Island has now allowed a penalty kick goal in each of its last two games as La Salle claimed Friday night's double-overtime victory on a PK attempt.
- Ten of the Rams' 13 matches this season have been decided by a single goal. In these games, Rhode Island is 4-6.
- Haught's goal was his third of the season. He now has nine career points (3G/3A).
- Haught is now tied with freshman Ross Morison for the team lead with three goals.
- Junior Robby Gargaro has not missed a game - or a start - since joining the Rams in 2009. As a freshman, he started in each of URI's 20 matches and went on to start all 18 games last season. Sunday's contest at Fordham extended Gargaro's streak to 50 consecutive starts.
