Swim & Dive Takes Third in Rhode Island Invitational

KINGSTON, R.I. – The women's swim & dive team earned a third-place finish in its Rhode Island Invitational after competing Friday and Saturday against La Salle, Massachusetts and George Washington.

The Rams finished with a score of 409. La Salle won the meet with 516 points, Massachusetts placed second (454) and George Washington took fourth (314).

For the men's side, Massachusetts won with 642 points, George Washington placed second (464), La Salle earned third (392) and Rhode Island finished fourth (105).

Susan Nugent won the 200-yard butterfly (2:10.81) and tied for third with freshman teammate Colette Aubin in the 100-yard butterfly (1:00.64).

Katie Mangano earned second in the 100-yard freestyle (53.35).

Freshman Chaya Zabludoff had a good day in the pool, earning second in both the 200-yard freestyle (1:56.00) and the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:40.73), and third in the 500-yard freestyle (5:11.80).

Sarah Keshishian earned third in the 200-yard freestyle (1:56.49).

Freshman Rachel Revolinski swam to a third-place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:29.41), the 200-yard IM (2:12.49) and the 100-yard breaststroke (1:08.28).

The Rams' 400-yard freestyle (3:36.57) and 400-yard medley relays (4:01.24) took second.

They placed third in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:39.09) and the 200-yard medley relay (1:53.12).

Rhode Island will return to the pool on Jan. 21 when it travels to compete at Wagner College. The meet is scheduled for 12 p.m. EST.
