HAMPTON, Va. - Junior Logan Norrid delivered a bronze-medal performance in the 200-yard breaststroke final at the Atlantic 10 Swimming and Diving Championships Sunday.

Norrid was one of four individuals to score points for Rhode Island on the final day of the championship. The Rams finished in seventh place, the program's best performance at the league meet in 10 years. Rhody also placed seventh in 2016.

URI scored 234 points, its highest total since scoring 287 in 2014. Richmond won the team title with 600 points, ahead of George Washington (572.5) and Duquesne (516.5).

After breaking the program record in the event with a time of 2:15.22 during the preliminaries, Norrid finished even faster in the finals. Her time of 2:14.55 was just .08 seconds behind second-place finisher Gabbi Primiano of Richmond. La Salle's Gabriella Herbreder won the event with a time of 2:12.91.

Norrid's time in the prelims broke Nicole Petta's record time of 2:15.67 that was set in the 2017-18 season. She improved upon her own newly-minted record in the finals, giving Norrid URI's two fastest times ever in the 200 butterfly, both on the same day.

Norrid earned 16 points for Rhode Island with the performance, part of another strong showing for the Rams. URI had three other individuals score team points, plus a record-setting performance in the 400-yard freestyle relay.

Julianna Tyler added 13 more team points for Rhody in the 200-yard butterfly. She finished sixth with a time of 2:02.58, edging Faith McAdam of Saint Louis by .11 seconds at the wall.

Olivia Winslow also took sixth place in the 1-meter dive with a score of 250.50. She scored 13 team points for the Rams.

Molly Beckwith provided the Rams with five points in the 100-yard freestyle. She placed fourth in the consolation final with a time of 50.79, which was good for 12th place overall.

Rhody's 400-yard freestyle relay team of Avery Potyrala, Rylee Kelly, Emma Raser and Molly Beckwith capped the weekend with a program-record in the 400-yard relay. Overall, URI finished seventh in the event with a time of 3:25.00, adding 24 points to the team score. That time beat the previous school record of 3:26.19 by Porsche Ferrell, Colette Aubin, Sarah Keshishian and Chaya Zabludoff at the 2014 conference championship.
