Robinson, Arbeiter Lead Rams at Boston Winter Open

BOSTON, Mass.
- Rhode Island had five competitors race on the final day of the Boston Winter Open hosted by Boston University Saturday.

Freshman Chloe Robinson delivered a strong performance in the 100-yard freestyle. She placed fourth in the field of 25 swimmers, posting a time of 51:39 seconds. Columbia's Sophie Kloppenburg won the event in 51:39.

Robinson and sophomore Lauren Biglow were among 16 swimmers in the 100-yard backstroke. Robinson placed 10th with a time of 59.04, one spot ahead of Biglow, who posted a time of 59.98. Abby Davis from Tufts won the event with a time of 56.11.

Biglow also placed ninth out of 12 swimmers in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:07.53.

Rhode Island had three of the five competitors in the 1650-yard freestyle race. Ella Arbeiter, Meghan Pauley and Cate Carboni placed 1-2-3 in the race. Arbeiter's time of 17:46.01 was 11 seconds ahead of Pauley (17:57.74), while Carboni finished in 18:01.55.

Arbeiter and Pauley were sixth and seventh, respectively, in the 200-yard freestyle. Arbeiter posted a time of 1:57.07, just ahead of Pauley (1:57.60). Northeastern's May Bradburn won the race in 1:49.86.
