How It Happened:
Boston College took a 3-0 lead into halftime and never looked back. Mike Casey put Rhody on the board in the 52nd minute but another BC goal pushed the Eagles lead back to three (4-1) just seven minutes later. Thomas Lindroos rounded out the scoring as he netted the game's final goal at the 69:04 mark.

- With the win, Boston College improves to 4-3-1 on the season while Rhode Island drops to 1-5-2.
- Boston College held a 17-10 advantage in shots. The Eagles outshot the Rams, 10-3, in the first half but each team recorded seven attempts in the second frame. Overall, BC put 11 attempts on goal while Rhody managed five.
- The Eagles also out-cornered the Rams, 4-1. Rhody's lone corner kick came in the second half.
- URI committed 13 fouls to BC's 10.
- Thomas Spenser (first half) and Adam Blanchard (second half) split time in goal for the Rams. Spenser finished with four saves and three goals against while Blanchard allowed one goal and made three stops. Alex Kapp and Justin Luthy each played a half for BC. Kapp had one save while Luthy allowed both goals and stopped a pair of shots.
- Casey led URI with four shots while Boateng put four attempts on net for the Eagles.
Additional Notes:
- URI is just the third team to score more than one goal on the Eagles this season. The only other teams to do so were No. 2 Connecticut (two goals) and No. 4 Maryland (four goals).
- The loss drops Rhode Island to 18-12-1 in the all-time series against Boston College. BC has now won five of the last seven meetings between the teams, dating back to 1992.
- Casey's goal was his team-leading fourth of the season. He now has 14 career points (5G/4A).
- Lindroos' tally was his first of the year and sixth of his career. He now has 17 career points (6G/5A).
- Uttley's assist was his second in as many games. The grad student now has three points (1G/2A) as a Ram, after spending his undergraduate seasons at Quinnipiac.
- Ribbens picked up his first assist of the season and sixth of his career. He now has 16 career points (5G/6A).
- Morison also registered his first assist of the season at BC. He now has eight career points (3G/2A).
- Robby Gargaro has not missed a game - or a start - since joining the Rams in 2009. As a freshman, he started in each of URI's 20 matches and went on to start all 18 games in both 2010 and 2011. Tuesday's contest at Boston College extended Gargaro's streak to 64 consecutive starts.

The Rams are back in action on Saturday, Sept. 29, when they wrap up non-conference play with a 7 p.m. match at Fairfield. The game will be Rhode Island's seventh away from URI Soccer Complex, where the Rams have played just twice so far this season.
