Setting the Scene
Rhode Island came in first place out of six total teams this weekend in the 18th Annual Harold Anderson Invitational. The Rams had 1021.0 points on the day and it was good enough to beat out Assumption (637.5), Bryant (579), Maine (524.5), Providence (409) and Holy Cross (297).

"The team had a great meet this weekend," head coach Mick Westkott said. "Everyone swam and dove really well. The hard work this group of student-athletes have put in thus far, bonding as a team that they have worked on all year - the very close feeling they all have for each other, and their enthusiasm the whole weekend all played big for us. The highlights were that all four relays swam well enough to place first and second every time, and in three of the four relays both relays broke the existing meet records. It was a real team effort. There were a lot of very good swims; it would be impossible to identify them all." The win today marked the seventh straight time Rhody has won the Harold Anderson Invitational.
