Rhode Island competed in a tri-meet against Springfield and Coast Guard. They swept the meet, beating Coast Guard 190.00-96.00 and Springfield 167.00-122.00. Rhody has yet to lose a regular season meet, after defeating Maine last week.

Rhode Island Highlights

  • The team of Nicole Liddy, Carly Deliberty, Kate Snyder, and Porshe Ferrell combined for a first place finish in the 200-yard medley relay (1:51.49). Rhode Island teams finished 1-4 in that event.
  • Lauren Folkert turned in a first place finish in the 200-yard freestyle, (1:57.32), and the 200-yard backstroke, (2:13.31).
  • In the 100-yard backstroke, Hannah Homans came out on top with a time of 1:00.42.
  • Carly Deliberty paced the field in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:06.13).
  • Rhode Island also placed first in the 200-yard butterfly with a solid performance by Gabriela Gil (2:15.06).
  • Chaya Zabludoff built off of a dominant performance against Maine by winning the 50-yard freestyle, (24.19), and the 500-yard freestyle, (5:06.46).
  • Ferrell was first in the 100-yard freestyle (54.38).
  • Jessica Andruzzi won the 200-yard breaststroke event, (2:27.99).

The Rams are back in action tomorrow, Nov. 4 when they compete in their first road meet of the season at Providence College at 6 p.m.
