Setting the Scene

The Rhode Island Rams tied the Wagner Seahawks 150-150 at the Senior Day meet in Kingston on Saturday afternoon.

Rhode Island Highlights

  • The 200yd medley relay team of Hannah Homans, Carly Deliberty, Kate Snyder, and Bridget Whalen was victorious with a winning time of 1:49.46. They edged out teammates Emily Thomesen, Rachel Revolinski, Colette Aubin, and Caitlin Haggan, who finished in 1:49.89.
  • Lauren Folkert won the 200yd freestyle event in 1:56.41, and the 200yd backstroke event in 2:08.08.
  • Homans, Aubin, and Thomesen finished 1-2-3 in the 100yd backstroke finishing in 59.08, 1:00.43, and 1:00.61 respectively.
  • Revolinski and Deliberty took the top two spots in the 100yd breaststroke, finishing less than a second apart, (1:07.00 & 1:07.60).
  • Whalen and Sarah Keshishian were the two fastest swimmers in the 100yd freestyle as Whalen, (53.59), edged out her teammate (54.44), by less than a second.
  • Jessica Andruzzi was the winner of the 200yd breaststroke, swimming in a time 2:24.35. Revolinski finished second in the event, (2:26.11).
  • Folkert, Haggan, Keshishian, and Whalen dominated the 400yd freestyle relay, winning by over a second, (3:36.04).

Up Next

The Rams travel to Vermont on January 24 for a noon meet with the Catamounts. Rhode Island has two remaining meets before heading to Geneva, Ohio for the Atlantic 10 Championships.
