How It Happened
Rhode Island jumped out to an early lead as Adam Camillo scored on a shot to the far post to put Rhody on top 1-0 in the 12th minute. Fellow defender Joey Cain recorded an assist on the play.
The Rams struck again in the 76th minute, when Ryan Oakley shook off six different Drexel defenders and then tapped a pass to Camillo, who found Carlo Davids in the box. Davids then one-timed a left-footed shot into the back of the net for the eventual 2-0 win.

- Five different players made their Rhode Island debuts against Drexel. Freshman Liam Daley played all 90 minutes while classmate Dominik Richter also earned the start. Sophomore Ryan Bailey and freshmen Emil Jesman Sunde and Abby Elsayed all came on as substitutes.
