How It Happened
Quinnipiac struck first, midway through the first half, when Matt Taylor set Rashawn Dally up with a breakaway ball which Dally managed to sneak between the legs of Rhody's Nils Leifhelm for the 1-0 advantage.

The Rams responded with a pair of second-half tallies however, as sophomore Ryan Bailey first set up the equalizer, which redshirt sophomore Dante Lamb netted from the corner of the six-yard box. Eleven minutes later, Bailey scored what would prove to be the game-winner when he used a spin move to collect a deflection and then one-time a shot in off the glove of Quinnipiac's Triston Henry. Emil Jesman Sunde and Jason Ronnie were credited with assists on the play.

The Bobcats nearly evened it up in the final seconds but Leifhelm was able to punch away Ryan Scheiderman's shot with just five seconds left on the clock.
