How It Happened
Rhode Island netted the only goal it would need late in the first half when Ryan Bailey turned on a Ryan Oakley corner kick and drilled a shot into back of the net at the 38:02 mark. Three minutes later, Oakley connected with Emil Jesman Sunde, who maneuvered past a Yale defender and beat goalkeeper Kees Schipper to make it 2-0.

Dominik Richter capped off the scoring in the second half when he took advantage of a Bulldogs' turnover and fired a shot in from just outside the box.

Yale's best chances came from Ollie Iselin, who blasted a shot off the crossbar in the 66th minute and skimmed another off the post in the final minute.

Scoring Summary
38:02 - URI - Bailey (Oakley)
41:22 - URI - Jesman Sunde (Oakley)
