Rhode Island (5-0) keeps with the strong start to their season by traveling to Providence College and defeating the Friars, 146-105.
Highlights From the Pool
- The Rams won the first event of the day: the 200-meter medley relay. The team of Nicole Liddy, Carly DeLiberty, Caitlyn Blake and Bridget Whalen swam it in a time of 2:04.33.
- Freshman Maddie Horner won the first solo collegiate event of her career with a first-place finish in the 200-meter freestyle (2:12.27).
- Senior Lauren Folkert won her sixth solo event of the season by taking the 100-meter backstroke in a time of 1:06.96.
- The Rams took all three medals in the 100-meter freestyle. Sophomore Grace Kneller (1:00.91) captured first place, followed by Horner (1:01.44) and freshman Sabrina Anderson (1:03.14).
- Rhody took the top-three spots in 1-meter diving, as well. Senior Maria Smirnov (238.20) won the event for the second time this season. Freshman Katy Evans (229.20) came in second, followed by freshman Alyssa Campone (202.20).
- Senior Carly DeLiberty won the 50-meter freestyle with a time of 27.73.
- Freshman Caitlin Guccione won her second collegiate event in as many weeks by taking the top spot in the 100-meter butterfly (1:05.52).
- Sophomore Nicole Petta took the 50-meter breaststroke with a 34.48.
- Senior Hannah Homans won the 50-yard backstroke with a 30.60. Senior Nicole Liddy came in second at 32.36.

Rhody will travel to Durham, N.H., tomorrow, Nov. 5, to take on the University of New Hampshire Wildcats. The meet is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.
