Highlights From the Pool
- Junior Hannah Homans took first place in the 100-yard backstroke. She was the only competitor in the event to swim it in under a minute (58.71).
- Senior Nicole Liddy also medalled in the 100-yard backstroke by taking third (1:01.42).
- Senior Maria Smirnov won 1-meter diving for the third time in as many weeks with a personal-best 268.57. Freshman Katy Evans finished second with a 252.44.
- Freshman Maddie Horner finished second in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:57.68.
- Sophomore Nicole Petta and senior Carly DeLiberty captured second and third place, respectively, in the 100-yard breaststroke. Petta swam a 1:07.73, while DeLiberty recorded a 1:07.88.
- Freshman Mackenna Dunn finished second in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 54.84.
- Senior Lauren Folkert just missed first place in the 200-yard backstroke. She took second with a 2:08.81.
- Rhode Island took second and third place in the 200-yard freestyle in the last event of the day to finish the meet on a positive note.

Rhody returns home in two weeks to host Assumption, Bryant, Holy Cross, Maine and Providence in the annual Harold Anderson Invitational. The two-day event is scheduled to begin on Friday, Nov. 18, at 5 p.m. Day two is scheduled to begin the next day, Nov. 19, at 11 a.m.
