Madison Places Second, Savoie Takes Third at Holy Cross Heptathlon

WORCESTER, MASS. - Rhody junior Hannah Madison placed second today in the Holy Cross Heptathlon scoring a two-day point total of 4608 in the seven event competition. Teammate Michelle Savoie placed third scoring 4438 points. UMass sophomore Bridget Deveau took first overall scoring 4894 points.

  • Long Jump - 5.26m (631)
  • Javelin Throw - 39.89m (665)
  • 800 meter Run - 2:27.21 (728)

Michelle Savoie Highlights (points scored in parentheses) 

  • Long Jump - 5.22m (620)
  • Javelin Throw - 23.46m (353)
  • 800 meter Run - 2:23.03 (783)

Next Up

Madison, Savoie and the rest of the Ram track & field team will head to the prestigious Penn relays this weekend hosted by Princeton University. Events get started tomorrow from Weaver Stadium on the campus of the Tigers at 2:30 p.m.
