ORLANDO, Fla. - Rhode Island Women's Track and Field completed its weekend trip to Central Florida's Black and Gold Invitational on Saturday afternoon. The Rams competes in nine events throughout the day and were highlighted by five top 10 finishes.
Highlights
- Macy Daigle cleared 5' 7.75" and placed fifth in the high jump.Â
- Rhode Island had two top 10 finishers in the discus throw. Mae Gall (140' 9") came in eighth and Alyssa Yankee (134' 4") finished in 10th.Â
- Zarah Singleton impressed in the 100m hurdles prelims with a time of 13.79. Singleton was .02 seconds off of eighth place Central Florida sprinter Eva Bruce (13.77). The top eight finishers in the prelims advanced to the finals.Â
- The 4x400m team of Abigail Colella, Nyah Santana, Anna-Rose Merchant, and Reagan Garibaldi placed eighth with a time of 3:48.64.
