How it Happened
Rhode Island (3-6-1) suffered its fifth consecutive one-goal loss, falling to Bryant 2-1 on Tuesday afternoon in Smithfield.
For the Bulldogs, the victory was the first of the season, as well as their first ever over URI. The Rams are now 4-1-2 in the all-time series.
Bryant (1-7-0) struck first, taking a 1-0 lead in the 21st minute when Jake Lamar headed a George Gill free kick over Nils Leifhelm for the early advantage.
Stavros Zarokostas evened it up just three minutes later, one-timing an up-field cross from Dante Lamb into the back of the goal to level the score at 1-1.
Bryant later tallied what would stand as the game-winner as Curtin Orth tucked a 57th-minute free kick into the upper 90.
