GENEVA, Ohio – Rhode Island got started at the 2018 Atlantic 10 Swimming and Diving Championship Wednesday, taking eighth in the 200-yard medley relay and 10th in the 800-freestyle relay.
The team of Hannah Homans, Nicole Petta, Caitlin Guccione and Eliza Anderson placed eighth in the 200-yard medley relay. The Rams posted a time of 1:46.27, coming in .29 seconds after George Washington in the event. Duquesne won the relay with a time of 1:43.37, more than two seconds ahead of the field.
In the 800-free relay, the team of Mackenna Dunn, Maddie Horner, Sabrina Anderson and Emma Grace Pecha posted a time of 7:38.74. George Washington again came away with the victory with its winning time of 7:15.43, a new meet record.

Day Two of the conference championship will feature the preliminary rounds of the 500-freestyle, 200 individual medley, 50 freestyle and the 1-meter diving events. Below are the Rhode Island competitors in each event.
