Highlights from the Competition

• Kellen Waters qualified for Sunday's final in the 1000 meters with a record-breaking time of 2:25.13. The previous record was held by Alexander McGrainer (2:25.20 in 2017). Colin Ochs will join him in the final with a qualifying time of 2:26.40.
• Johnathan Buchanan placed third in the weight throw with a mark of 18.80 meters.
• In the high jump both Jack Reichenbach (sixth) and Eric Wicks (seventh) cleared 2.00 meters.
• La'Rue Martin finished 12th in the 60 meter quarterfinals with a time of 6.96 seconds.
• Anthony Delasanta qualified for the 400 meter final in 47.74 seconds.
• Roniel Mata finished 10th in the 500 meters with a final qualifying time of 1:04.32.
