Team Results

• Rhode Island remains atop the leaderboard after the second round of play, turning in the second-best team score of the day (293).
• With a two-round score of 575 (282-293), URI is the only team still under par at -1.
• The Rams have created a 14-stroke cushion to distance themselves from second-place Lafayette (+13) and UConn (+13).
• Sacred Heart (+16) and Army West Point (+17) round out the top-5.

Individual Results

• Junior Bryson Richards is tied for third place after the second round of play, combining for a two-round score of 140 (71-69). He is two strokes off the overall lead.
• Sophomore Jack Tegan was 2-over (74) for day, giving him a two-round score of 153 (+9). He will enter Tuesday's final round tied for 45th place – a 25-spot improvement from his first-round finish.
• Redshirt senior Jordan Brajcich also carded a second-round 74. After two rounds, he is in seventh place at 1-under (69-74=143).
• Redshirt senior Brandon Gillis is now tied for 19th overall at 5-over (73-76=149).
• After tying for second in the opening round, sophomore Andrew DiPetrillo fell into a tie for 26th with a second-round 81. He is now six strokes over (69-81=150).

Head Coach Gregg Burke Said…

• Our guys just battled all day. We were six over in the final two holes and those were great scores for the downpour we played in while all the other teams besides URI, Lafayette and Army were in the clubhouse.
• Bryson shot three under, which puts him in contention, but the day belonged to Jack Tegan. I said a week ago that his scores were not where they would be. This is a kid the boys just love and we want him representing Rhody Golf.
• We picked up 4,5, and 14 shots on the three teams closest to us.  That shows you how well we played.
• Tomorrow is about focus and mental toughness. The course will be soaked and it will take tremendous concentration to shoot the red numbers we want.
