#20 Rhode Island (5-2-1, 1-0-0 Atlantic 10)
  • The Rams received their first national rankings of the season this week, checking in at #20 in TopDrawerSoccer's poll. URI also was ranked #30 by College Soccer News and received votes in the United Soccer Coaches poll.
  • Their last time out, the Rams dropped a 3-2 double-overtime decision at UAlblany. Both Rhody goals were scored by senior Hugo Guerra.
  • The game was Rhode Island's second consecutive double-overtime contest as Rhody knocked off then 22nd-ranked VCU in double OT last Saturday night.
  • Redshirt junior Patrick Agyemang is the reigning Atlantic 10 player of the Week as well as a member of College Soccer News' most recent National Team of the Week.
  • Agyemang leads the country in shots on goal per game (2.88), ranks 14th nationally in total goals (5) and is 15th in total points (13).
  • Freshman Isak Oystese became the first men's soccer player in the history of the Atlantic 10 to earn three consecutive Rookie of the Week awards. His three game-winning goals rank second nationally.
  • Nine different players have recorded either a goal or an assist for the Rams so far this season.
  • Freshman Cian Purcell and Agyemang are tied for the team lead with three assists each.
  • Redshirt senior Stefan Schmidt is 5-2-1 with a 1.06 goals against average and two shutouts. He ranks eighth in the nation in total saves, with 35.
  • Through eight games to date, Rhode Island has outshot its opponents 130-95.
  • Rhody leads the nation in shots on goal per game (9.12) and is seventh nationally in shot accuracy (0.562).
 
Davidson (4-3-0, 0-1-0 Atlantic 10)
  • Davidson won four of its first five games to open the season – including a 3-1 victory over nationally-ranked High Point – but has since had back-to-back losses to St. Bonaventure (1-0) and Georgia State (2-0).
  • The Wildcats have both scored and allowed 10 goals this season.
  • Vincent Bennage leads the team with five goals for 10 total points.
  • Henry Howell has a team-best three assists to his credit.
  • Ten different players have recorded either a goal or an assist so far this season.
  • Giacomo Piccardo played the first six games in goal for VCU, but Michael Zemanek made his collegiate debut in Tuesday's loss to Georgia State. Piccardo owns a 1.33 goals against average and a .692 save percentage while Zemanek allowed two goals and made four saves in his first and only appearance.
