THE RAMS (6-2-7, 2-1-4 Atlantic 10)
  • Rhode Island enters the regular-season finale in three-way tie for fourth place in the A-10 standings, with the top eight teams qualifying for the league's postseason championship.
  • Their last time out, the Rams dropped a 2-0 decision at Brown.
  • Patrick Agyemang currently leads the team with 16 points on seven goals and two assists.
  • Rafa Villanueva is next with four goals and one assist for nine total points.
  • Edvin Akselsen (2g/4a), Kevin Castaneda (2g/4a) and Patrick Gryczewski (3g/2a) all have eight points on the season. Both of Gryczewski's assists and two of his three goals have been game-winners. Castaneda has one game-winning goal and one game-winning assist while Akselsen has scored one game-winner.
  • Akselsen picked up his 26th career assist against Saint Louis, passing head coach Gareth Elliott (1998-2001) and moving into fourth all-time in the Rhody record book.

  • URI was picked to finish second in the 2022 Atlantic 10 preseason coaches poll.
  • The Rams returned 16 players from last year's team, including 10 starters.
  • Patrick Agyemang, Edvin Akselsen and Zach Drayer were named to the A-10's Preseason All-Conference Team.
  • Patrick Agyemang also was one of 38 Division I players named to the 2022 MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List. The Hermann Trophy is the nation's highest individual honor, recognizing the National Player of the Year as determined in voting by Division I coaches who are members of United Soccer Coaches. 
THE WILDCATS (5-8-3, 2-4-1 Atlantic 10)
  • Davidson snapped a five-game winless streak last weekend when it knocked off UMass 1-0.
  • The Wildcats are 1-6-1 when playing on the road.
  • Davidson has both scored and allowed 20 goals this season.
  • The Wildcats have posted five shutouts and have been held scoreless six times.
  • Denis Krioutchenkov leads the team with 18 total points on eight goals and a pair of assists.
  • Jack Brown has recorded a team-best three assists each.
  • In total, 11 different players have registered either a goal or an assist for Davidson.
  • Giacomo Piccardo (966:19) and Lou Liedtka (473:41) have split time in goal this season. Piccardo is 2-6-3 with a 1.40 goals against average while Liedtka is 3-2-0 with a 0.95 GAA.
