Saul Sets 600m School Record at BU

Rhode Island sent a split squad to both Brown and BU Saturday.

Highlights from BU

Lily Saul placed third in the 600 meters with a school-record time of 1:33.55. The mark broke the previous record held by Rhody great Lotte Black, which was set at the same meet in 2019. Becca Durham was fifth (1:35.46) and Hannah Birdsall crossed the finish for sixth (1:37.19). Both were personal-best times.
Trinity Smith won the 60 meter hurdles in 8.72 seconds, ahead of Virsavia Goretoy (8.97s) who placed second.
Xiana Twombly placed third in the 300 meters in a personal-best time of 39.38 seconds.
Twombly placed second in the long jump (5.59m).

Highlights from Brown

Megan Wood placed second in the shot put (13.30m), and fourth in the weight throw (15.28m).
