FAIRFAX, VA. — Rhode Island men's track and field won its second straight and 13th overall Atlantic 10 Indoor Championship Sunday. The Rams raked in 199 team points with five first-place finishes, ahead of Davidson (114) and host George Mason (111). Rhody has now won six of the last eight indoor Championships. Last year was canceled due to due COVID-19. The indoor title is the first under head coach Trent Baltzell.

Champions

• Orion Joyner won the triple jump with a mark of 14.76 meters.
• Lucas Plaia earned the 500 meter crown with a time of 1:03.87.
• Collin Ochs took home gold in the 800 meter final, finishing in 1:56.34.
• The 4x800 meter relay team of Nathan Coogan, Ianique Imboque, Eli Baker, and Collin Ochs won in 7:44.89.
• Mason Brubaker won the pole vault with a mark of 4.80 meters.

Finals

• Jolon O'Connor placed second in the 60 meter final with a time of 6.89 seconds. Tristen Howard (6.91s) and Nathanial Barjolo (6.94s) placed third and fourth.
• O'Connor also earned silver in the 200 meter final crossing the finish in 21.88 seconds. Liam Creeley was fourth, finishing in 22.06 seconds.
• Jarrett Young finished fourth in the 400 meter final (48.97s).
• Ianique Imboque was sixth in the 800 meter final (1:59.36) and Eli Baker was eighth (2:00.38).
• In the 1000 meters, Aidan Kindopp was fourth (2:27.85) and Kellen Waters was seventh (2:31.87).
• Waters earned silver in the mile with a time of 4:11.45. Tyler Rubush finished fifth (4:13.86).
• Eric Zulkofske and Ben Fleischer earned points for the Rams in the 3000 meters, finishing sixth (8:30.40) and seventh (8:30.59).
• Devin Donahue placed third in the 60 meter hurdle finals in 8.15 seconds.
• The 4x400 meter relay team of Jarrett Young, Liam Creeley, Jordan Ross, and Lucas Plaia earned silver finishing in 3:19.50.
• Jack Reichenbach was fourth in the high jump after clearing 2.02 meters.
• Derek Jacobs finished fourth in the shot put (16.45m) and Chris Tavarone was sixth (15.58m).

Heptathlon

• Devin Donahue placed third in the heptathlon collecting 4992 points. He won the 60 meters (7.10s) and the shot put (13.56m), and finished second in the 60m hurdles (8.39s), fourth in the pole vault (4.00m), sixth in the 1000m (2:56.21), sixth in the long jump (6.49m) and 11th in the high jump (1.70m).
• Wyatt Lamell was fourth finishing with 4844 points. He placed second in the 60 meters (7.14s), and finished fourth in the 1000m (2:50.79), fifth in the long jump (6.56m), sixth in the shot put (11.49m), seventh in the 60m hurdles (8.70s), eighth in the high jump (1.76m) and eighth in the pole vault (3.80m).
• Ryan Tona also earned points for the Rams, finishing fifth with 4833 points. He placed third in the long jump (6.63m) and third in the high jump (1.85m), and was fifth in the 1000m (2:54.99), fifth in the shot put (11.59m), sixth in the 60m hurdles (8.48s), seventh in the pole vault (3.80m) and eighth in the 60 meters (7.50s).

Day One Finishes

• The distance medley relay team of Aidan Kindopp, CJ Kiviat, Nathan Coogan, and Tyler Rubush placed third in 10:02.94.
• Neil Waldhausen (4.35m) and Wyatt Lamell (3.90m) also earned points for the Rams.
• Ben Fleischer finished sixth in the 5000 meters in 14:35.51.
• Jack Reichenbach finished fifth in the long jump with a leap of 6.99 meters.
• In the weight throw, Johnathan Buchanan placed second (20.04m), Jide Akinjisola placed third (19.07m) and Sam Bond finished fifth (18.17m).
