Charleston, S.C. – Senior
Erin Chratian picked up a victory at No. 3 singles, but that was Rhode Island's lone point of the day as the Rams lost 6-1 at College of Charleston Sunday.
Chratian defeated Maja Jekauc in three sets, 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 in the lone match of the day to go three sets.
Rhode Island (6-5) also led at No. 1 doubles, but the match was halted and deemed a no-contest.
Valentina Cvackova and
Klara Nelander led 5-4 against Halli Trinkle and Slade Coetzee. However, College of Charleston won at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles to claim the point before Cvackova and Nelander could complete their match.
The Rams visit are back in action March 16 when they play at Georgia Southern. Rhode Island also visits Charleston Southern on March 18 before returning to Kingston.
