BOSTON, MASS. — Rhode Island earned the 4x800 meter relay crown with a program record time of 7:24.31 at the IC4A Indoor Championship Sunday. The previous record, set by Mike Ringuette, Jim Burton, Bob Frost, and Butch Brown in 1982, was 7:29.14.

The Rams finished 13th out of 42 scoring teams with 21 total points. It's the second time this season a relay squad has set a school record. The distance medley relay team of Tyler Rubush, Liam Creeley, Collin Ochs, and Kellen Waters had the best time in program history in 9:43.17 at the BU Terrier Classic.

• The 4x800 meter team of Tyler Rubush, Nathan Coogan, Kellen Waters, and Collin Ochs won in a program-best time of 7:24.31. It's the first 4x800 meter relay indoor crown since 2015.
• Orion Joyner finished ninth in the triple jump (14.22m) and Garrett Robinson was 11th (14.00m).
• Mason Brubaker was eighth in the pole vault (4.70m).
• Garrett Robinson finished seventh in the long jump with a leap of 6.98 meters. Davon Tate was 12th (6.71m).
• In the weight throw, Johnathan Buchanan placed second with a mark of 19.16 meters.
