RHODE ISLAND VS. RICHMOND - SERIES NOTES

• Rhode Island and Richmond are facing each other for the 30th time Tuesday.
• Richmond leads the all-time series, 18-11, including a 10-3 mark against URI at home.
• Last season, the team's met twice. The Spiders won both contests, beating Rhode Island 70-63 in the regular season and 64-59 during the 2022 Atlantic 10 Championship.
• In the postseason contest, Malik Martin led Rhode Island with a then-career best 20 points on 8-of-11 shooting to go with nine rebounds.
• URI led by 15 with 15:06 to go in that game, but Richmond chipped away. The Spiders were 20-of-24 at the free throw line in the second half and held the Rams without a field goal over the final 6:04.
• Richmond has won four straight in the series overall.
• Rhode Island's last win over Richmond came in the Robins Center on Jan. 9, 2019, a 78-67 victory.
• With 19.4 points per game, Richmond's Tyler Burton is the second leading scorer in the Atlantic 10.
• Rhode Island averages 21.9 free throw attempts per game, which ranks second in the A-10. Richmond commits 14.8 fouls per game, which is the second fewest in the conference.
• Archie Miller is 6-2 all-time against the Spiders, with all eight games coming during his time at Dayton.

• Despite an offense that has struggled to find consistency this season, Rhode Island has managed to push the tempo against the opposition.

• The Rams also turn the ball over 14.6 times per game, which ranks 13th in the A-10 and 305th in the country.

• Sophomore guard Ishmael Leggett has scored in double figures 16 times in 17 games this season.
• Dating back to last year, he has scored in double digits 19 times in his last 22 games.
• In his first 51 career games, Leggett scored in double figures 15 times.
• With 274 points this season, he already has more than he did a year ago, when he scored 257 points in 31 contests.
• Leggett's scoring average is 16.1 points per game, nearly double his 8.3 average from last year.
• This season, he also has three double-doubles.
• Leggett is averaging 6.1 boards per game, a full 3.0 more than one season ago.
