- Last year, Davidson beat the Rams 2-0 to elimintae Rhode Island from the postseason. URI had entered the final match as the fourth-place team, but fell to a three-way tie for ninth place with the Wildcats and Saint Joseph's on the final day.
- In the 2-0 loss, Rhode Island outshot Davidson 22-6 and had a 9-2 edge in shots on goal, but the Rams could not break through.

- Despite the team's overall record, Rhode Island ranks eighth in the country with a .533 shutout percentage.
- The Rams have recorded eight shutouts in 15 matches.
- Each of URI's last two matches - Browna and Loyola Chicago - have been scoreless draws
- The eight shutouts are the most for the program in five years, dating back to a nine-shutout season in 2018.
- URI has doubled its number of shutouts from a year ago, when the team had four in 16 matches.
