- The teams have met twice at neutral sites in the Atlantic 10 Championship. Both went the way of the Rams, as Rhody won 2-1 in overtime in Richmond, Va. in 2014 and then 2-0 in Saint Louis in 2018.
- Both sides are looking to end winless streaks. Rhode Island is 0-3-1 and has not scored in its last four matches.
- George Mason has lost its last three contests, losing 2-1 to La Salle, 2-0 to St. Bonavanture and 2-0 to Davidson.

- It was already the fifth shutout of the season for the Ram defense.
- Rhode Island ranks 10th in the nation with a 0.556 shutout percentage, notching five in nine matches.
- The five shutouts already are the most for the program in five years, dating back to a nine-shutout season in 2018.
- URI had four shutouts in 16 matches last season.
