RAMS GET ON THE BOARDÂ Â
- Rhode Island scored a pair of goals at George Mason Wednesday night, snapping a four-match scoreless streak.
- A penalty kick by Brandon Bermingham in in the 30th minute ended a scoreless stretch of more than 470 minutes, dating back to a 1-0 victory over Holy Cross on Sept. 12.
- Bermingham's goal was the second penalty kick converted by Rhode Island this season.
- The first was by Michael Hofstetter against Stonehill.
- URI added a second goal against George Mason when Mathias Taylor scored off an assist from Íñigo Etxegarai.
- Taylor is the first Ram with more than one goal this season, as the team's first six goals came from six different players.
- For Etxegarai, it was his second assist of the season, which leads the team.
- The George Mason contest also marked the second time this season Rhody has scored more than one goal in a game. The Rams had three goals against Stonehill on Aug. 27.
