- Rhode Island and Saint Louis are facing each other for the 24th time overall.
- The Rams lead the all-time series, 13-10, but Saint Louis has won the last three meetings.
- Rhode Island is 6-6 when playing Saint Louis at Chaifetz Arena.
- The last time the teams met, Saint Louis won 80-74 on March 2, 2022 in the Ryan Center.
- Saint Louis was led by Gibson Jimerson, who had 22 points and made five 3-pointers while Fred Thatch, Jr. had 21 points and 13 rebounds. Yuri Collins just missed a double-double with 10 points and nine assists.
- Rhode Island's top returning scorer from the last meeting was Jalen Carey with nine points. Ishmael Leggett had eight points, and Sebastian Thomas scored seven to go with five rebounds.
- Both teams are coming off of losses. Rhode Island had a two-game win streak snapped with a 64-50 loss at Saint Joseph's last Wednesday. Saint Louis has dropped two straight, losing 73-65 to VCU Friday night after falling 75-65 at Fordham last Tuesday.
