2024 Football Schedule Announced

KINGSTON, R.I. - Head football coach Jim Fleming, in conjunction with CAA Football, released the 2024 Rhode Island Football schedule on Wednesday morning.

The Rams will play a 12-game campaign for the first time since the 2019 season, with six contests set to take place at Meade Stadium and as many on the road.

Rhode Island will begin the year at home with a game against regional power Holy Cross on Saturday, Aug. 31. The team will then play another non-conference foe the following week, traveling to FBS foe Minnesota (Sept. 7) for a date with the Golden Gophers.

Conference action will begin in Kingston, opposite Campbell, on Saturday, Sept. 14. The Camels are one of four CAA Football teams that will make the trip to Meade Stadium in 2024, joined by Maine (Oct. 26), Monmouth (Nov. 2) and UAlbany (Nov. 16).

URI will play league games on the road at Hampton (Oct. 5), New Hampshire (Oct. 19), Delaware (Nov. 9) and newcomer Bryant (Nov. 23). The addition of the Bulldogs brings the CAA Football membership up to 16 for the first time in its history.

Mixed into the slate are an additional pair of non-conference games at LIU (Sept. 21) and against Brown (Oct. 12). The home game against the Bears will mark the 42nd annual Governor's Cup.
