Day 4 Results

KINGSTON, R.I. – Rhode Island scored 45 points in both the 200-yard Breaststroke and the 200 Butterfly as it finished the Harold Anderson Invitational in second place out of eight schools Sunday.

Sophomore Julianna Tyler had Rhody's top individual performance of the day, finishing second in the 200 Butterfly with a time of 2:02.57. Junior Ella Hacker was one spot behind her with a time of 2:03.25 and senior Emma Lee placed seventh in the event.

The team's depth showed up in the 200 Breaststroke as well, where Rhode Island took third, fourth and fifth place. Sophomore Logan Norrid was third in a time of 2:19.06, followed by senior Hannah Benavides (2:20.42) and freshman Gracie Maughan (2:21.69).

Vermont won the team title with 877 points, holding off Rhody (842).  

Standouts from the Pool

• Three Rams scored team points in the 200 Backstroke. Senior Maddie Tetreault placed fourth in a time of 2:04.17 for 15 points, while junior Sarah Koenig was right behind her in fifth place, adding 14 more points. Junior Jackie Triglia placed 15th to chip in two points.
• Sophomore Cate Carboni scored 14 team points with a fifth-place finish in the 1650 Freestyle.
• Junior Rylee Kelly led a trio of Rams who scored in the 100 Freestyle. Kelly scored 11 points with an eighth-place finish, while sophomore Avery Potyrala added seven points in 10th place. Freshman Julia Havice's 14th place showing contributed three team points.
• Rhode Island's relay teams scored 58 points in the 400 Freestyle relay. The team of Rylee Kelly, Abby Zadorozny, Quinn Frost and Avery Potyrala took third place to score 32 points. The team of Julia Havice, Sarah Koenig, Emma Raser and Julianna Tyler was sixth for 26 team points.
