KINGSTON, R.I. - Rhode Island Baseball's Friday night series opener at Washington State has been called off due to snow.
The teams were in the bottom of the first with the Cougars up 1-0 when the front came in, causing a 45-minute delay. By the end of the pause, snow had already accumulated on Bailey-Brayton Field and was continuing to do so.Â
The game will be resumed as part of a 3:05 p.m. doubleheader on Saturday, March 2. Casen Taggart will be at the plate for WSU. Sunday's series finale is still scheduled for a 4:05 p.m. start.Â
