KINGSTON, R.I. - Members of Rhode Island Women's Track & Field represented the team at the Raleigh Relays, hosted by NC State and the Black & Gold Invitational, hosted by Bryant, on Friday.
Four total Rams were in action, competing in both running and throwing events. The trio of
Lily Saul,
Hanna O'Connor and
Molly Sabia made the trip to Raleigh, while
Alyssa Yankee went to Smithfield.Â
Highlights
- Lily Saul and Hanna O'Connor ran personal bests in the 1500m.
- Saul's time of 4:34.44 was good for 105th overall, sixth in her heat, and moves her to fifth in URI history.
- O'Connor crossed in 4:36.17, which was fourth in her heat and 125th overall.Â
- Molly Sabia turned in a personal best performance in the 10000m, coming in at 35:54.68. She placed 51st overall and is now fifth all-time in program history.
- Alyssa Yankee placed sixth in the shotput in her collegiate outdoor debut with a 41' 8.5" toss, scoring three points.Â
