KINGSTON, R.I. - The Rhode Island women's track & field team was represented by a partial squad at the Jay Carisella Coaches Invitational, hosted by Northeastern, on Saturday afternoon.
Nearly 10 different Rams were in action in the program's final regular season meet, competing in both running and field events.
Highlights
- Kayla Clark placed second in the 100m Hurdles with a time of 14.75.
- The quartet of Sydney Federico, Lily Saul, Corina Vidal and Leyla Kvaternik finished second in the 4x400 Relay (4:10.14).
- Vidal was third individually in the 1500m (4:47.18), followed by Kvaternik at eighth (5:05.41).
- Erynn Field recorded a 167' 7" mark in the hammer throw for fourth overall. Teammate Alyssa Yankee (151' 8") was eighth.
- Yankee also finished fourth in both the shotput (40' 3.5") and the discus (136' 4").
- Saul ran a collegiate-best time of 57.95 for fifth in the 400m.
- Alexis Zarr cleared 4' 11" in the high jump, good for sixth.
- Federico ran a season-best time in the 200m to finish 10th (25.97).Â
